Funding for a SLS/DLS machine

The facility of Biophysical characterization has obtained a funding from the the I-Site Programm of excellence of the Montpellier university to buy an equipment for dynamic and static light scattering characterization of bio-samples. The machine should come to service in 2024.

DLS-SLS equipment on the “Biophysical Characterization” facility of PIBBS

Thanks to the I-Site Programm of excellence of the Montpellier university, the “Biophysical Characterization” facility of PIBBS, run by Albane Le Maire and Frederic Allemand, has acquired a new equipment for dynamic and static light scattering characterization of bio-samples. The machine, a DynaPro NanoStar II (Wyatt) can accommodate sample as little as 2-30 μL (depending on the analysis) and is already in service. New liquid helium recycling system

The NMR facility of the PIBBS platform has installed a liquid helium recycling system funded by the I-Site Programm for excellence of MUSE-Montpellier University. The system is fully operational. Karine de Guillen and Philippe Barthe (PIBBS-CBS) have led this operation from start to finish, with the help of B. Mongellaz and G. Taly from the "Cold Laboratory" of Montpellier university.

Karine de Guillen, Philippe Barthe and Hélène Déméné (PIBBS RMN facility) and Philippe Gaveau (PAC platform) organize the second event of ‘Journée RMN in Montpellier’. After the success of the first event (more than 50 participants), we invite you to join again to confront our NMR needs, experiences and expectations in two consecutive half days.
