During the last years, a revolution occurred in the EM field (stability of electron microscopes, advances in detector hardware and image-processing software) leading to determination of complex molecular structures at high resolution. Therefore, near-atomic-resolution cryoEM structures can now be obtained for even the most challenging targets in structural biology.
	Examples of CryoEM samples observed. A : Purified CaMV (Cauliflower Mosaic Virus). B : Mixture of bacteriophages and TMV (Tobacco Mosaic Virus). C : Magnetic core silicium nanoparticles covered with a lipid bilayer. D : Treated polymers.
