Crystallisation screening and crystallisation conditions optimization

Goal

Obtaining diffracting protein crystals which are required to obtain atomic-level structures via
X-ray diffraction techniques

The crystallization experiments are set up in 96 well sitting drop plates via nano-dispensing robot (50-100 nl/drop, Mosquito, STPLabtech). For initial screening we're using commercial screens and for crystallization optimization, commercial additifs and home made solution . The facility is equipped with an automated imaging system for protein crystallization (Rock Imager, Formulatrix).

Automated imaging system of crystallization drops

Protein Crystallization Imagers capture images of protein drops and provide critical information about crystals. Images are accessible to users and can be scored via a web-interface.
